Burbage Institute is located in the heart of the village of Burbage in Derbyshire. It is adjacent to Christ Church, Burbage, the village store and the village pub and in the vicinity of Burbage Primary School. The Institute is a registered charity with the aims of providing facilities for use by the community including for leisure, meetings and classes; the object being to help improve the conditions of life for the residents of Burbage.
The Institute is managed by a trustee board, all of whom have long-standing connections with the Burbage community and with the variety of local societies and organisations that use the Institute on a regular basis.
The Covid-19 pandemic has been a challenge for so many people, but during that time period the trustees have taken the opportunity to upgrade the Institutes facilities by optimising safety and enhancing accessibility.
Our focus for the future is clearly set on continuing to grow usage of our local, flexible and affordable village hall by a variety of groups – enabling our facilities to actively deliver on their purpose, at the heart of serving the communities of Burbage, Buxton and the High Peak.
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team – if you or anyone you know might be interested please email us.
